The Macaron
The Macaron is the taller of the two. A wide disc of coloured glass rests on a slim chrome stem above a smaller one, and the light gathers in the space between them. 18 cm across, 28 cm tall: enough presence to anchor a nightstand or a shelf without crowding it. Six colours, one shape.
The Globe
The Globe is the smaller, rounder one. A single sphere of coloured glass sitting straight on a chrome base, no stem, no edges, nothing to distract from the colour. 15 cm across, 18 cm tall, so it fits where the Macaron cannot: a crowded desk, a bookshelf, the corner of a windowsill. Same USB cable, same three tones, same switch under your thumb. A different silhouette.
Press the button on the cable to move through the light. Same switch on both lamps. No app, no remote, no setup.
Candle-soft and amber. The one you leave on while you read, or all evening in the corner of the room.
Balanced and easy on the eyes. Enough to work by at a desk without the glare of a ceiling light.
Clear and bright. For getting ready in the morning, or any time you need to actually see what you are doing.
The material
Every shade is coloured glass, thick enough to hold the light rather than let it through raw. The LED never faces you directly, it faces the inside of the shade, so what reaches the room has already been softened. Two stacked discs on the Macaron, one sphere on the Globe: the same idea in two shapes. That is why you can look straight at either of them at two in the morning without flinching.
Everything you would want to know about both lamps before yours arrives.
Macaron: 18 cm across, 28 cm tall. Globe: 15 cm across, 18 cm tall. Both small enough for a crowded nightstand.
Coloured glass shade on a chrome-finished iron base. The Macaron adds a slim stem, the Globe sits straight on its base.
USB, DC 5V. Any phone charger, laptop port or power bank will do.
LED included, three colour temperatures, dimmable from the switch on the cable.
The lamp and its USB cable with inline switch. Nothing else to buy.
Welcome to Maison Luce
Maison Luce makes small glass table lamps that run off a USB cable. A switch on that cable moves each one through three tones, from candle-warm to daylight-clear, so the same lamp works for reading in bed and for getting ready in the morning. Two shapes to choose from: the Macaron, two discs of glass stacked, 28 cm tall; and the Globe, a single sphere, 18 cm tall. Neither needs any wiring. Pick the shape, then the colour.
Nothing. Shipping is free on every order, to Switzerland and worldwide, tracking included.
You have 30 days from delivery to change your mind. Send the lamp back unused in its original packaging and we refund you in full.
Most orders arrive within 10 to 15 days. You receive a tracking link by email the moment yours ships, so you can follow it door to door.
The lamp cycles through three light tones, warm, neutral and cool white, so you can match it to the time of day. The glass shade diffuses the light, so there is no harsh glare even up close at night.
Anywhere you have a USB port. The Macaron is 18 x 28 cm and the Globe 15 x 18 cm, so either one sits comfortably on a nightstand, a shelf, a desk or a living room side table.
