Light up your space
Maison Luce exists because of a small, stubborn observation: the light in most homes is wrong. Ceiling fixtures flood a room from above and flatten everything. They are useful for finding your keys and terrible for anything else. The lamps that fix this are usually either expensive design pieces or plastic things that look like they came free with something.
So we went looking for the middle. Objects that are genuinely nice to have in a room, at a price that does not require thinking about it for a week.
The Macaron
Our first piece is a small glass table lamp shaped like two stacked discs. It is 18 cm across and 28 cm tall, which is to say it fits on a nightstand that already has a book, a glass of water and a phone on it.
The shade is coloured glass, thick enough that the light passing through it picks up the colour and loses its edge. The LED inside faces the shade rather than the room, so nothing glares. A switch on the cable moves it through three tones, from a warm amber you can leave on all evening to a clear white you can actually read by.
It runs on USB. Not a proprietary adapter, not a wall installation. The same cable that charges your phone. Plug it into a laptop, a power bank, a socket adapter, whatever is nearest.
